HOW TO APPLY
- Find a Board/Commission right for you
Review the list of County-appointed boards and commissions and learn about their role and any eligibility requirements. Look for a board or commission for which your skills, interests, and expertise are most relevant. Ask yourself whether you are passionate about the purpose and work of the organization. Please also remember that you will need to commit time and effort to be a successful member. - Learn about eligibility
Many board positions do not have eligibility requirements beyond residency and being current on property taxes; other membership qualifications are left to the discretion of the Commissioners Court. There are a few boards that require specific qualifications, skillsets, or certifications. Please review the list of boards and commissions and learn about their role and eligibility requirements. Once appointed, board members are expected to maintain a suitable attendance and participation record. - Apply online
Once you find a board or commission you’re interested in applying for, click the blue "Apply” button at the top right of the board page to begin your application. You will need to include a current resume or biography with your application. You will be able to apply to multiple boards within a single application.
Important: appointment timelines vary with each board. If your application is selected, you will be notified.
