About Sustainability
The Sustainability Division is responsible for delivering measurable sustainability, resiliency, and environmental/climate justice solutions to Commissioners Court by coordinating and collaborating with County departments.
Major responsibilities include:
- Coordinating implementation of the Climate Action Plan for Internal Operations
- Co-creating the Harris County Climate Justice Plan with internal and external stakeholders
- Pursuing climate- and sustainability-related grant opportunities made available through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL).
