ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Office of County Administration (OCA) was established by the Harris County Commissioners Court in June of 2021. OCA is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Harris County government. OCA is led by County Administrator Diana Ramirez, who is appointed by Commissioners Court and serves as Harris County’s Chief Administrative Officer. The County Administrator is tasked with direct supervision of 16 departments and broad coordination of long-term strategic planning efforts, performance management, and fiscal responsibility in alignment with Commissioners Court goals.
