Turn your food scraps into soil magic! Join in on these interactive composting classes and learn how to compost the right way - doing it yourself!
Registration is required - please register online at Houston School of Compost.
What you'll learn:
- What can & can't be composted
- Managing smells, pests, and moisture
- Backyard & community composting
- Benefits for soil, climate, community
Please bring your own food scraps. Start collecting food scraps a week before the first class in a bag or bucket. (Fruits, veggie scraps, coffee grounds, eggshells, etc.)
IMPORTANT! Please wear closed-toe shoes to class and bring sun protection, as part of the class will be outdoors.
Class takes place over the course of two Saturdays, 3/21 and 3/28.
