About Policy & Performance
The Policy & Performance Division supports the implementation and oversight of the Harris County Strategic Plan and partners with County departments to help address challenges, implement impactful solutions, and track and evaluate performance and other key data to enhance the County’s work and improve the lives of Harris County residents.
Major responsibilities include:
- Supporting implementation and oversight of the County’s 5-year Strategic Plan
- Managing Countywide performance metrics and other databases that can be used to improve services and guide budget decisions
- Partnering with County departments to coordinate complex projects, address challenges, and enhance capacity
- Providing policy analysis, data analytics, and progress updates related to key County priorities and Commissioners Court directives
